This is a Great Help from MoJo Savings!

inflation 2 Inflation Is Coming: What You Can Do To Protect Your Family

As many of  you know, Lisa and I try to always keep this blog upbeat, funny and light. However, I have followed for the last 1 or 2 years closely predictions of inflation, the warning signs, etc…
Many of these predictions appear to be coming true or have come true. I make it my job to know what is going on in the world as it relates to this for the benefit of our loyal readers. And, as I said the hand writing is on the wall and has been on the wall whether you or I like it or not.
Here is an article from Wal-Mart CEO Bill Simon who expects inflation. And, if it were the only article on this troubling trend, I wouldn’t bother you with it; however, this is just one of many…..
The Problem:
Increased Corn prices – As you may or may not know, Corn is now used in the form of Ethanol for fuel. This has driven up food prices. Many foods use Corn or a derivative of Corn.
Higher Fuel Prices -With the Mid-East unrest (with no end in sight), Gas prices are now approaching $4 per gallon
Printing Money We Don’t Have – Causes inflation
Consumer Prices continue to rise – 0.5% in February alone
Smaller packaging – Have you noticed that packaging has gotten smaller?
There are many other factors too. I won’t delve too much into it though as I’m not an economic guru. I do however spend a significant amount of time on the internet studying such things and the handwriting has been on the wall for awhile now.
The Solution For You And your Family:
The obvious solution is to save more than you spend. Here are some ideas on how to do just that.
Learn Couponing Completely – While this may seem obvious, we can always learn how to save more and become better at what we do. Study our blog and others or consider taking a couponing class.
Only shop sales and with coupons
Request any and all Free Samples - Every little bit helps.
Use your most fuel efficient car – Always drive together when possible and always take the car that is cheaper on fuel.
Pay off credit cards now
Get rid of the the wants – Cable T.V. Home phone if you have a cell phone, eating out, etc..
Price Shop Auto/Home/Health Insurance – If you can afford to increas the deductibles which will lower your monthly premiums.
Take all money saved and put it in savings – While this may seem obvious, it is imperative that you figure out how much money you save on each transaction over what you would have paid and stash that money into savings.
